Crowley Natural & Cultural History Museum, Myakka

On our way!

We had great luck, a songwriter/performer called Steve Sanders asked if he could perform while the girls had their lunch. What a treat! You can check him out at: www.SnapdragonSeedsMusic.com

The biggest hit of this trip was definitely the ZIP LINE!

One of the amazing wood sculptures, carved out of trees still in the ground

Next to the zip line there were a bunch of animals, among them this big pig

Big spider web

The number one invasive plant in Florida, the Brazilian Pepper Tree. The reason it is so bad is not just that it grows quickly and crowd other native plants out, it also give off a toxin in the ground around it, so other plants cannot grow.

During our visit the girls got certified in identifying and removing an invasive plant called Caesar weed.
